Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Shoreline Studio. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at shorelinestudio.ca and our AI-powered content generation services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Shoreline Studio ("Company," "we," "our," or "us").

1. Eligibility

1.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.

1.2 Authority

If you are using the Service on behalf of a business or organization, you represent and warrant that:

• You have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms
• You accept these Terms on behalf of that entity

1.3 Jurisdiction

The Service is intended for users located in jurisdictions where our Service is lawful. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable local laws.

2. Account Registration and Security

2.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate, current, and complete
• Maintain the security of your account password
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

2.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account, whether or not authorized by you. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.

2.3 Account Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at contact@shorelinestudio.ca. Upon termination:

• Your access to the Service will be immediately revoked
• Your personal data will be deleted within 30 days (see our Privacy Policy)
• Unused credits are non-refundable
• Payment obligations incurred before termination remain due

2.4 Account Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if:

• You violate these Terms
• You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Your account remains inactive for 24 consecutive months
• We discontinue the Service

3. Service Description

3.1 What We Provide

Shoreline Studio provides an AI-powered platform that:

• Generates social media content (text posts) for local businesses
• Creates photorealistic images to accompany posts
• Analyzes your business identity through brand discovery (photo analysis and web research)
• Stores your generated content in a personal library

3.2 Service Availability

We strive to provide continuous access to the Service but do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free access
• That the Service will be available at all times
• That the Service will be free from viruses or other harmful components

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

3.3 Beta Features

We may offer beta features or experimental functionality. These are provided "as is" and may not work as intended. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue beta features at any time.

4. User Tiers and Credit System

4.1 Service Tiers

We offer two service tiers:

Credits are the currency used to access AI-powered features:

4.3 Credit Purchase

Credits can be purchased through our website (future feature - Stripe integration):

• Credits are non-refundable once purchased
• Credits never expire
• Credit packages will be announced on our pricing page

4.4 Welcome Bonus

New users may claim a one-time welcome bonus of 25 credits upon account creation.

4.5 Fair Use Policy (Tier 2 Users)

While Tier 2 offers "unlimited" usage, we reserve the right to implement reasonable usage limits to prevent abuse or automated excessive use. Typical usage is defined as generating up to 500 posts per month. If your usage significantly exceeds this, we may contact you to discuss your needs.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Service to:

• Generate social media content for your legitimate business or organization
• Create images related to your business offerings
• Store and manage your generated content

5.2 Prohibited Use

You may NOT use the Service to:

While we do not actively monitor all user-generated content, we reserve the right to:

• Review content generated using our Service
• Remove content that violates these Terms
• Report illegal activity to appropriate authorities
• Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, designs, text, graphics, logos, and other content (excluding User Content), is owned by Shoreline Studio and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of our intellectual property
• Use our trademarks, logos, or brand elements without written permission
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

6.2 Your Content Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to:

• Business information you provide (business name, address, description)
• Photos you upload for brand discovery
• Content you generate using the Service (text posts and images)

6.3 License to Use Your Content

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

• Store and process your business information to provide the Service
• Use your uploaded photos for brand discovery analysis
• Display your generated content back to you in your content library

We will NOT:

• Use your business information to compete with you
• Share your generated content publicly without your consent
• Use your content to train AI models for other users

6.4 AI-Generated Content

Content generated by our AI (text posts and images) is created specifically for you based on your business profile. While you own this content and may use it freely, you acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may occasionally resemble content created for other users (inherent to pattern-based AI systems)
• We do not guarantee the uniqueness of every word or phrase
• You are responsible for reviewing and approving all content before publishing

6.5 Third-Party Content

Your generated content may reference or be inspired by publicly available information found during brand discovery. You are responsible for ensuring your use of generated content does not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights.
